The City of Somerville requires permits for portable moving crates (PODS) and moving vans parked in on-street parking spaces. The following fees are required: a permit fee of $40 per day and $5 for each ‘no parking' sign. If applicable, there is a charge of $25 per bagged meter plus a $25 flat service fee. Permits must be displayed at all times on the door of the storage crate. There is a $50 fine per day for non-compliance. Click here to download the applications.
