2020 CPA Projects

In FY20, $2,504,337 was awarded to 10 projects: 

  • 5 affordable housing, 2 historic resources, 3 open space/recreational land 
  • 8 are community projects and 2 are City projects 

The following projects were funded in FY20:

Somerville Museum Emergency Elevator Funding Request

The Somerville Museum will construct and elevator, the design of which has been approved by the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board and the Somerville Historic Preservation Commission. The Museum is also requesting additional funds for the project as part of the regular FY20 application process.

The City of Somerville will construct a new playground on the Central Hill Campus as part of the Central Hill Campus Plan.

The VNA will rehabilitate its existing garden and transform it into a healing garden, which will serve as a respite for all to enjoy.

Programs & Initiatives

Members will develop a recommendation to the Mayor on both the location and scope of a renovated or new school to meet the needs of the Winter Hill Community Innovation School and potentially the Benjamin G. Brown School.
