Somerville Environmental Protection Office pursued, developed and completed several projects funded by external state or federal agencies. These projects focused on sustainable development and are related to wide range of topics such as solid waste management, recycling, watershed management, stormwater management, climate change impact reduction initiatives, air quality and green buildings.  In order to reach the larger audience, these projects were initiated in collaboration with other departments as well as with non profit organizations, Tufts University and Boston University.
