The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in nearly all segments of society. Title I covers employment; Title II covers state and local government services, including public transportation; Title III covers public accommodations, commercial facilities, and specified private transportation; Title IV covers telecommunication; and Title V contains miscellaneous provisions, including coverage of Congress. Housing is not covered by the ADA (except transient housing, such as hotels and dormitories), since it is already covered by the Fair Housing Amendments Act. The federal government is also not included, because it is covered by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
