The 2014 City of Somerville Memorial Day Parade will take place on Sunday, May 25th. The National Anthem will play in front of City Hall at 12:55 PM, and the parade will begin immediately afterward, promptly at 1:00 PM. It will begin in front of City Hall, and will proceed up Highland Street to Davis Square, and then along Holland Street to Broadway. It will end in front of Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery on Broadway near the Alewife Brook Parkway.

Most of the streets around City Hall will close at 10:00 AM. Organizations traveling in the parade with a vehicle will be permitted into the area, but organizations marching without a vehicle should consider parking at Dilboy stadium and taking the free shuttle bus to the start.

Seventy-six organizations will participate in this year’s parade. Nearly all of the groups who performed in last year’s parade will return, and we’re actively new performers. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
