SOMERVILLE – Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone (right) and Ward 7 Alderman Robert Trane (center) joined Fortunato Conte (left), the new owner of Soleil Café, to celebrate the recently renovated and reopened business on September 3rd.  Soleil Café recently reopened under new owner Conte and serves coffees, desserts and gelato. 


“Soleil Café has been a landmark in the Teele Square neighborhood for many years and I am confident that Fortunato will continue providing the excellent food and customer service we have grown used to,” said Mayor Curtatone.  “I look forward to stopping in for a cup of coffee and bringing the whole family to sample their amazing pastries.”


“Teele Square is an increasingly visible and vibrant destination for residents across the city.   It has always been an important part of our neighborhood and will continue to be under the new ownership,” said Alderman Trane.  “I think Fortunato has done an excellent job renovating the space and creating the new menu.  This used to be my go-to spot for a sandwich but now I swing by for a cup of coffee and some gelato.” 


Soleil Café is located at 1153 Broadway in Teele Square.
