Facilities Laborer

Duties:

The Dilboy Stadium Laborer is responsible for the oversight of recreational activities at the Dilboy Stadium facility. This includes activities for children, adults, seniors, and other special citizens of Somerville. Performs all related duties.   Works with various populations of the Somerville community in connecting them to the appropriate resources.  Works independently and is responsible for overseeing activities. Includes setting up and cleaning up at facilities after use for special events, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.  Works collaboratively with Parks & Recreation team in providing quality programming.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or any equivalent of education.
  • Training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must have knowledge of various recreational modalities.
  • Ability to meet and deal with the public effectively and appropriately; ability to handle problems effectively; ability to communicate clearly orally; ability to maintain confidential information; ability to maintain, manage, and organize records; ability to deal appropriately with employees, officials and members of the general public.
  • Skill: Excellent organizational skills.
