Somerville Comprehensive Plan 2010-2030

Somerville is beginning to prepare a city-wide plan for its future! The Somerville Comprehensive Plan is a vision of what the city wants to become and the steps needed to achieve that vision. Based on factual data and comprehensive analysis, the Plan's focus is on city-wide goals and policies and the strategies for implementing them. At the heart of the Plan is an extensive process of community involvement that will, ultimately, put the Plan into action. Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 81D, provides the legal foundation and the authority, objectives, content and application of local comprehensive plans.
