    Somerville's parking regulations are changing.

On May 21st, the Traffic Commission voted a number of changes to the city's meter and residential permit parking policies. These changes were, per city ordinance and state law, posted for public inspection and review for three consecutive weeks after the vote.

In response to questions and concerns over the new rules, Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone convened an advisory body consisting of local business leaders, elected officials, city officials and residents to advise on the implementation of the new rules. This advisory group, known as the Parking Solutions Task Force, developed a set of recommendations for a modified and phased approach to applying the new rules.

The City's Traffic and Parking Department has compiled this important information regarding the changes that are being implemented to the city's traffic guidelines. As changes are finalized and new policies are applied, this page will continually be updated with the latest information and timeline for these necessary changes.
