Celebrate Latin American and Caribbean Heritage Month with the City of Somerville

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, the SomerViva Office of Immigrant Affairs (SOIA) and the Department of Racial and Social Justice (RSJ) are inviting the Somerville community to join a vibrant celebration of Latin American and Caribbean Heritage Month, this Saturday, October 12.

The free celebration will share the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of our Latin American and Caribbean communities through music, dance, food, and will feature a Salvadorian music mix performance and a Brazilian Frevo dance workshop.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, October 12
  • Time: 2– 5 p.m. 
  • Location: East Somerville Community School (50 Cross St., Somerville)

This event is open to everyone, and all are welcome to join in the festivities.
