ALDERMEN APPROVE $160 MILLION FY2010 BUDGET

8-2 Vote Keeps Services at Current Levels Despite Cuts and Layoffs; Board finds $240 Thousand in Additional Savings; New Budget is $4.98 Million Lower than Last Year’s; 3 Percent Cut Is Largest in Recent Memory

By an 8-2 vote with one absent, the Somerville Board of Aldermen have passed a $160,032,473 municipal budget for FY2010.
