Sidewalk Clearing Reminder

Low snow totals, rain, and warmer temperatures may have taken care of most ice and snow on your sidewalks this storm, but if still needed in shady spots or elsewhere, please remember that property owners and businesses have until 1 p.m. Sunday, March 5 (six daylight hours after the end of snowfall), to clear sidewalks adjacent to their property. A path at least 3 feet wide must be cleared. A reminder that blue sand barrels are located citywide for residential use.  Also, if you are a senior or are otherwise physically unable to shovel, please call the Council on Aging at 617-625-6600 x2300 during normal business hours to sign up in advance for assistance during the NEXT storm.
