Volunteers Needed for 2017 Patriot's Day Colonial Fair
Adults and high school students are needed to help plan and execute the annual event.
Help the City celebrate its 175th Anniversary and re-live Paul Revere's historic ride from Boston through Somerville and onto Lexington and Concord. Adults and high school students are needed to help plan and execute the City's annual Patriot's Day event, a Colonial Fair at Foss Park on Monday, April 17th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Volunteers are needed in several areas, including: community outreach; working with youth to create drawings about the event and our community in Colonial times; and assistance with event logistics, by leading era games, serving refreshments, and distributing and stamping Colonial Passports. New ideas for the games and passports are also welcome.
All volunteers will be asked to dress in Colonial era clothing. We have clothing to lend and/or tips for what to wear of your own wardrobe. We'll also teach you games to lead, including hop scotch, cat's cradle, hoop rolling, and ring toss.
For more information or to volunteer, contact Brandon Wilson at 617-625-6600 ext 2532, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
