Municipal Compensation Advisory Board
The Municipal Compensation Advisory Board was created under a municipal ordinance. Consisting of five members - three of whom are appointed by the Mayor and two of whom are appointed by the President of the Board of Aldermen - the Board continuously studies the adequacy of the compensation and expense allowances of all municipal elected officials, all officials appointed by the Mayor subject to the approval of the Board of Aldermen, and any other officials or non-union City employees.
Each even-number year, by the third week in November, the Municipal Compensation Advisory Board reports its recommendations and findings, relative to compensation and allowances for those under its jurisdiction, to the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen. A copy of the report is filed with the City Clerk, and held for public record
