Winter Hill Community Innovation Schoolyard Renovation
The Winter Hill Innovation Schoolyard will be renovated to support the activities of the elementary school and to create a better learning and playing environment.
The first phase of the project involves the transformation of the asphalt court on the lower level into an artificial turf playing field. This field responds to the needs of the school's Phys Ed program and recess use, and creates additional community capacity for small fields as called for in the City's Athletic Fields Master Planning Staff Report from June of 2016. See the listing below for community meeting presentations and materials information. Construction of the field will begin on June 21st. Construction of the schoolyard will begin in the summer of 2017.

Members will develop a recommendation to the Mayor on both the location and scope of a renovated or new school to meet the needs of the Winter Hill Community Innovation School and potentially the Benjamin G. Brown School.
