LOCATION

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, the Somerville City Council, and the Somerville School Committee, warmly invite the community to attend the 2024 inauguration ceremonies on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

The inauguration ceremonies and addresses by Mayor Ballantyne, the incoming City Council President, and the incoming School Committee Chairperson will be held in the Somerville High School auditorium (81 Highland Ave). Organizational meetings of the City Council and School Committee will precede the ceremony at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in City Hall (93 Highland Ave).

The ceremony will include American Sign Language interpretation as well as interpretation into Spanish and Portuguese, with interpretation into other languages available upon advance request.

A public reception at The Row Hotel (360 Foley Street, Assembly Row), will immediately follow the inaugural ceremony starting at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to all inaugural events. The organizational meetings and inaugural ceremony will be live-streamed and shared on the City’s GovTV station, as well as online at YouTube.com/SomervilleCityTV.
