The Somerville Historic Preservation Commission will meet on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 6:40 p.m. at the Visiting Nurses Association, 259 Lowell Street, in the Community Room on the 3rd Floor to hold public hearings on the following applications, in accordance with the Historic Districts Act, Chapter 40C of the Massachusetts General Laws, as amended, and the City of Somerville Code of Ordinances, Pt. II, Chap. 7, Sections 7-16 – 7-28.

REQUESTS FOR CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS

HPC 2014.027: 58 Columbus Avenue

Applicant: William Gage, Owner

Alteration to fence which includes a gate; and handrails on stairs.

HPC 2014.032: 24 Pleasant Avenue

Alteration of the front porch rails and balusters.

All applications summarized above are available to the public on the third floor of City Hall at 93 Highland Avenue (Monday - Wednesday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; and Friday 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.). Cases may be continued to a later date; therefore, please check the agenda on the City website or call (617) 625-6600 x2500 to inquire if specific cases will be heard. Continued cases will not be re-noticed but will be listed on the agenda, posted 48 hours in advance. Interested persons may provide comments to the Historic Preservation Commission at the public hearing, by e-mail to historic@somervillema.gov, by fax to (617) 625-0722, or by mail addressed to the Historic Preservation Commission, City Hall, 93 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA 02143.
