LOCATION

Join us for Gremlins, the second of three Saturday morning Scary but Funny movies!

1985; Starring Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Hoyt Axton, Polly Holliday, and Frances Lee McCain; Rated PG; 106 minutes

Billy Peltzer's father buys him a new cudly pet. But heed these three
warnings: Don't ever get him wet. Keep him away from bright light. And
the most important thing, the one thing you must never forget: no matter
how much her cries, no matter how much he begs...never, never feed him
after midnight.

This series is hosted by Dan Kimmel, professional film critic and past
president of the Boston Society of Film Critics. Dan will offer brief
introductory remarks before each film, and
there will also be time afterwards for and comments, questions, and
discussion.

Dan’s books on film include The Dream Team: The Rise and Fall of DreamWorks:
Lessons from the New Hollywood
; I'll Have What She's Having: Behind the Scenes
of the Great Romantic Comedies
; and most recently, Jar Jar Binks Must Die... and
Other Observations About Science Fiction Movies
, which has been nominated for a
2012 Hugo Award. He lives in Somerville.

Our final Scary but Funny film is Men In Black, on Saturday, May 12th at 10:00 a.m.

This free film series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and all are welcome. We hope you can join us!
