City Seeks Registered Voters to Work Election Polls on Tues., Nov. 3

The City Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, and the City of Somerville Elections Department needs people to help work the polls. The shift is 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with two hours off over the course of the day. Workers will be paid $135 for completing the full shift. The City of Somerville Office of Assessors reminds all residential property owners that the deadline for filing statutory, residential or Community Preservation Act (CPA) exemption for Fiscal Year 2015 is April 1, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. The residential exemption is a property tax break for owners who made their Somerville property their principal residence as of January 1, 2014.
