Duties:

Duties:

  • Perform a variety of moderately difficult and more complex clerical duties according to standard office procedures. 
  • Work with PC based telecommunications accounting billing system. 
  • Requires a degree of decision making ability and knowledge of the Department, including familiarity with quotes and contracts. 
  • Perform duties including, but not limited to: typing, filing, payment of bills, bookkeeping, payroll and computer processing. 
  • Assist the Director of Communications and other staff members with any office projects. 
  • Provide telephone customer service. 
  • Interact with other vendors and other departments regarding contracts and billing. 
  • May exercise working supervision over other personnel when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of the functions of the Department.
  • Knowledge of budget procedures and departmental budget preparation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Munis.
  • Proficiency in math and bookkeeping.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to interact with other Departments and vendors in a pleasant and efficient manner.
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required.
