Shared Mobility

The City of Somerville has been working for several years to understand and plan for new forms of shared mobility, including bike share, ride-hailing, and autonomous vehicles. We are currently building a travel behavior model that will help the City to forecast future demand for these mobility services, and to prepare policies to promote our vision for a low-carbon, transit-focused, equitable and affordable transportation system. 

Please take fifteen minutes and complete this resident survey.  If we can get roughly 1,000 respondents, our research team will have more realistic data to calibrate this travel model, and our community will be better positioned to guide the evolution of mobility in Somerville.
