The City's annual vigil walk, in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 6 p.m. The vigil will begin with a procession stepping off from the Cedar Street intersection of the Community Path, and will conclude with a short ceremony in Davis Square. The entire Somerville community is invited to participate.

Join the City of Somerville’s Office of Housing Stability (OHS) on Thursday, September 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a workshop on Section 8 housing searches, including advice and strategies to make your housing search more effective. The workshop will be held in the auditorium at the main branch of the Somerville Public Library, 73 Highland Ave. Interpretation will be provided.

The Special Planning Board Meeting previously scheduled for Thursday, September 5, has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 26. The meeting will be held in the Somerville High School auditorium, 81 Highland Ave., beginning with a presentation at 6 p.m. The only item that will be discussed is the Davis Square Neighborhood Plan.

The Somerville Public Library and St. Mark Community Education Program will host a free, 12-part Citizenship Interview Preparation Class on Saturdays this fall in partnership with Project Citizenship.
