Paid Snow Shoveling Programs Pairs Teens with Somerville Senior Homeowners & Homeowners with Disabilities for Shoveling Assistance
The 2022/23 Somerville Teen Shoveling Program, a paid opportunity for teens to help local seniors and homeowners with disabilities after a snowstorm, is currently accepting applications.
The program is available for teens aged 13 to 19 years old. All interested teens must submit an application. Teens aged 18 or 19 must also submit a CORI form.
Once registered for the program, teens will be assigned one or more homes for the duration of the snow season, and will be contacted by their assigned homeowner after each storm.
Somerville residents interested in receiving snow shoveling assistance must submit an application and a CORI form to the Somerville’s Council on Aging's Holland Street Center (167 Holland St.) and appear at the Holland Street Center in person with a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport). Forms may be completed ahead of time or upon arrival at the Center.
