Due to habitat loss and pesticide use, pollinator populations are declining in New England and worldwide. In response, Mayor Ballantyne’s Public Space and Urban Forestry Division is developing a Somerville Pollinator Action Plan (SPAP) to identify interventions foster habitat for pollinators in the city.
The Somerville community is invited to an open house on flood relief and water quality improvement efforts planned for Morrison Avenue (Cedar Street to Grove Street) and the surrounding neighborhood.
