What projects will CPA fund this year?

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) has received 10 full applications for historic preservation and open space / recreation grants in the FY26 Funding Round. The total amount requested is $3,129,125. (The amount of funding that will be available for FY26 will be finalized next month.)

At their meeting on October 22, 2025 at 6:30 PM, the CPC will hear presentations from each of the applicants and have a Q&A with the applicants. Members of the public are encouraged to attend this meeting. You can use this form to submit comments to the CPC about these projects before, during, or after the public meeting. You can also email comments or letters of support to rcameron@somervillema.gov. The deadline for submitting public comments is Friday, 10/31.

 For FY26 the CPC has already awarded $2,603,071 to the Somerville Affordable Housing Trust who will distribute the funds for affordable housing development and housing stability programs.
