Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development (OSPCD) are pleased to announce the resale of one deed-restricted condominium to eligible, first-time homebuyer households at a below market price through the City’s Inclusionary Housing Program. This unit will be offered to households with a yearly gross income at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI).

The affordable unit is Deed Restricted, and the sale price is set by formula. Buyers of this unit will be subject to equity and resale provisions and annual compliance monitoring. The units must be used as the primary and principal residence of the household.

411 Norfolk St. is a residential development in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Somerville consisting of nineteen (19) units. The complex is a short walking distance from Inman Square, and offers an on-site parking space for a monthly fee of $275. The unit includes hardwood flooring, and a full kitchen area equipped with an island. Residents also have access to shared outdoor spaces, two laundry rooms and communal grills. Unit will be ready for occupancy upon closing, which is anticipated for fall 2025.

Pre-lottery applications are available now until Thursday, August 14, at 12 p.m. (noon) electronically on the City of Somerville Inclusionary Housing Program website (somervillema.gov/inclusionaryhousing). Paper copies may be requested at Somerville City Hall (93 Highland Ave), City Hall Annex (50 Evergreen Ave.), and any of the Somerville Public Library branches.
A complete application must be delivered to the Housing Division by 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, August 14, 2025 (must be received by this date, not post-marked). Applications may be mailed to the Inclusionary Housing Program (Housing Division) located at:
