Learn About Somerville's Upcoming Consolidated Affordable Housing Waitlist at March Information Sessions

First info session will be held Tuesday, March 18 at 6 p.m. All community members are welcome.

The City of Somerville is launching a Consolidated Rental Waitlist to simplify the application process for income-restricted rental units. To help residents navigate the new system, the Housing Division will host a series of information sessions in March. To reach the most amount of people, the sessions will alternate between virtual and in-person meetings.

"We are committed to making the search for affordable housing as clear and straightforward as possible," said Mayor Katjana Ballantyne.  "This waitlist will simplify the process and reduce barriers for residents."

The Consolidated Waitlist allows individuals and families to apply for multiple affordable rental opportunities with a single application. The application period opens in April 2025.

Information Sessions

To make these sessions as accessible and convenient as possible, they are scheduled at a variety of times and formats, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid options, to accommodate different schedules and needs.
