New England Hong Kong Festival Returns to Somerville, Sunday, June 1
Update: Due to current forecasts for Saturday, May 31, the New England Hong Kong Festival has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 1, from 11a.m. -5 p.m. Location remain the same.
On Saturday, May 31, join the second annual New England Hong Kong Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Seven Hills Park in Somerville to celebrate the vibrant culture, food, and creativity of Hongkongers across the region. The event is free and open to all. Rain date is Sunday, June 1.
Now in its second year, the community-run festival brings together more than 30 local vendors, artists, and community groups offering food, gifts, and interactive activities. Attendees can also enjoy over 15 live performances from bands, martial artists, and cultural performers, as well as free games, family-friendly activities, and photo ops, including a newspaper stand set and stamp stations inspired by iconic Hong Kong streets.

About the New England Hong Kong Festival
This year’s festival is hosted by the New England Hong Kong Festival Planning Team, and co-hosted by the City of Somerville and the Somerville Office of Immigrant Affairs. The organizing team is made up of diasporic Hongkongers from Greater Boston who are passionate about community-building and cultural storytelling.
