Somerville Families Invited to 2026 Summer Activities Fair
Explore kids’ summer programs and enjoy free pizza on Thursday, March 5
Summer fun starts here. Somerville families are invited to the 2026 Summer Activities Fair to enjoy free pizza and learn about summer programming available for local children. The 2026 activities fair will take place on Thursday, March 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Somerville Community School (50 Cross Street).
Staff from the City’s SomerPromise program, the School’s Somerville Family Learning Collaborative (SFLC), and representatives from regional summer camps and organizations will share information about upcoming programs, including an array of summer camps, recreational activities, and learning opportunities for children of all ages. Many programs offer reduced-rate or scholarship-based programs. Onsite interpretation assistance will be available during the event.
“The summer activities fair is a fun and lively annual event that brings together local programs in one place,” said Ruth Santos, Director of SFLC. “It highlights the importance of continued learning over the summer months and gives children and families the chance to explore options, meet providers face-to-face, ask questions, and find opportunities that fit their interests and budget.”
“We are very excited for City, School, and Community Providers to come together and share information about the various programs that are as unique and varied as the interests of our children and youth,” said Chris Hosman, SomerPromise Director. “It is as much about community building as it is about increasing access to programming. Whether you are seeking full-time summer opportunities for school-aged children or teen jobs, there is something for everyone.”
