Week of Events Features Release of Updated Community Climate Action Plan, Bike Clinic, Miyawaki Forest Tour, and more. All Events Are Free and Family Friendly.

Join Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the City of Somerville Office of Sustainability and Environment for a series of free and family friendly events and interactive activities to celebrate SustainaVille Week, April 20-27, an annual celebration of climate action in Somerville during the week of Earth Day.

See the full schedule of events online here: www.somervillema.gov/sustainavilleweek.

“Whether it’s planting a pollinator garden, advocating to decarbonize new construction in our area, recycling, or investing in sustainability initiatives, every day the City and Somerville community work together to help protect our planet,” said Mayor Ballantyne. “This year’s SustainaVille Week is especially exciting as community members can review the City’s updated Climate Forward plan that will help us maintain a strong, healthy community in the face of climate change while simultaneously reducing climate pollution and our dependence on fossil fuels. I look forward to seeing everyone to celebrate what we have achieved and inspire the hard work ahead of us as we continue fighting climate change.”

The 2024 SustainaVille Week lineup features a community celebration for the updated community climate action plan, the Climate Forward plan. Get inspired by interactive art that explores our shared climate resilient vision. The event is free, open to all, and family friendly.
