Women Veterans Invited to Wellness Day and Appreciation Event on March 5
To the women who serve and have served our country with courage and strength, we honor you. As a sincere thank you from the Somerville community and in celebration of Women’s History Month, the City’s Department of Veterans’ Services invites women veterans to a Wellness and Appreciation Day on Thursday, March 5. Attendees are invited to select from an array of free spa services including manicures, facials, haircuts, and wash and styles.
The event will be held at Somerville High School’s Cosmetology Salon (81 Highland Ave.) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services provided by students in the SHS Cosmetology Program. Women Veterans Network (WVN) will be onsite with resources on state and federal benefits, peer support, health and wellness resources, employment assistance, and connections to local and statewide programming specific to women veterans.
