Traffic Pattern Changes on Washington St. as of 9/8

As part of ongoing work on McGrath Highway, MassDOT contractors will begin construction next week on Washington St. at the intersection with McGrath Highway that will change traffic patterns in the area.

Beginning on Tuesday, Sept., 8, traffic traveling east on Washington St. toward Sullivan Sq. will be reduced from five lanes to three, as follows:

National Grid Performing Meter Equipment Inspections

Technicians from National Grid will be surveying the area in the coming days to inspect regulators on all natural gas meters to ensure they are working properly. As a result of the inspections, some equipment may need to be replaced, causing a temporary disruption to gas service. Please be assured National Grid's system is operating safely.
