City of Somerville Honoring 2024 Disability Pride Month

Free Activities for All Ages and Abilities Planned Throughout July

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the Somerville Commission for Persons With Disabilities (SCPD) are announcing a series of events throughout July to recognize and celebrate Disability Pride Month. This month-long celebration will feature a variety of activities designed to raise awareness, celebrate the contributions of individuals with disabilities, and foster an inclusive community spirit.

City of Somerville Announcing Resale of One (1) Affordable Home Ownership Opportunity at 9 Avon Place

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the Somerville Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development (OSPCD) are pleased to announce the income-restricted resale of one (1) 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom condominium. Located at 9 Avon Place, unit nine will be available to income-eligible households with a combined annual gross income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Somerville Invited to Brickbottom Neighborhood Plan Public Meeting on Monday, July 8

Community Encouraged to Ask Questions and Share Feedback on Current Version of the Neighborhood Plan

Mayor Katjana Ballantyne and the City’s Planning, Preservation, and Zoning Department invite Somerville community members to a public meeting to help inform the final draft of the Brickbottom Neighborhood Plant. City Staff will present the most current version of the plan and will answer questions from the community. 

The meeting will be hybrid, taking place both in-person and via Zoom.
