Summer Evening Writing Adventures

If you are going into grade 5 - 8 (age ~10-14) and love to write,
join us any Monday night this summer in building a fantastic experience.

Chuckie Harris Park Groundbreaking Ceremony

Please join Mayor Curtatone for a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the East Broad Streetcape Project, and a Ribbon Cutting for the redesigned Chuckie Harris Park! Both events will be held on Monday, July 15th begining at 6 p.m.. Light refreshments will be served, and a reception will follow.

The City of Somerville announces the 2013 SomerPlay locations! Launched earlier this spring, SomerPlay is the City's newest innovative program encouraging community building in Somerville so as to increase the amount of time children play together within each neighborhood. It is based on author Mike Lanza's Playborhood.

Pearl and Florence Streets Park Public Meeting

Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone, Ward 1 Alderman Maureen Bastardi, and the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development (OSPCD) invite all interested community members to a public meeting on Monday, July 8th at 6:30 p.m. to discuss design ideas for the new “green” park to be built on the vacant parcel at Pearl Street and Florence Street.
