How long can I use the vouchers I have?

Where else can I get help with transportation?

The City of Somerville is providing vouchers for free taxi rides to grocery stores and food pantries in Somerville, and to non-emergency medical appointments in Somerville and surrounding areas. You are eligible for the free taxi rides if:

  • you are a Somerville resident between the ages of 16-59
  • you rely on public transit
  • you have a limited income

You can sign up and check eligibility by filling out our intake form at https://tinyurl.com/somervillecab or by calling Alissa or Ric at 617-625-6600 x4321.

Anyone 60 years and older is not eligible for this program, but can access the Council on Aging’s Senior Transportation Program which offers a similar service.

Contact Connie at 617-625-6600 x 2319 to learn more, or visit the Council on Aging website and click on ‘Transportation’.
