Attention crafters and DIYers. Somerville's Department of Public Works (DPW) is giving away free latex paint on Friday, October 9! Stop by the DPW building at 1 Franey Road between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to grab some paint (and help DPW save on the recycling fees). Somerville residency NOT required! Terms and conditions:

21st Annual HONK! Festival of Activist Street Bands; this year's on-site U.S. bands total 35, plus on-site video livestream participation from several international bands; w/plenty of ways for audience participation.

All City offices are closed. Trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day.

Bingo Every Tuesday in October Bingo starts at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon or at the end of Bingo. All are welcome! Registration is required. You will need to register on a weekly basis.  Each week call the COA Reservation line at 617-625-6600 ext. 2323, Monday Tuesday to reserve your spot for the following week.

Are you curious about de-cluttering but feel overwhelmed by the process of starting to sort through your items? The Somerville Council on aging offers a support group to help build skills to make de-cluttering feel less daunting. This group is open to Somerville and cambridge residents over the age of 60.
