Virtual Exercise Strength & Balance (Council on Aging)

Join this live online class that focuses on strength training and balance. This is a chair-based workout with the option of doing supported standing activity and using handheld weights. Practice exercises that will keep your body and mind healthy, strong, and active.

General Exercise - Ralph & Jenny Center (Council on Aging)

Join the signature SCOA class in the East Somerville area. We’ll use a play ball, resistance band, and handheld weights to do seated exercises with optional standing strength and balance activities. Enjoy music while doing easy-to-follow functional movements that help support an independent and active lifestyle.

New School Building Project – Community Design Workshop (Community Programs)

As part of the design process for the new school building at 115 Sycamore Street, all community members are invited to join a collaborative workshop focused on planning for community programming uses at the new school building. Please join us on Monday, May 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Tufts Administration Building Atrium Conference Room at 167 Holland Street.

A confidential space where men are free to speak openly and honestly about their lives, what is happening and to support each other. New and returning members are welcome.

Add some movement to your day! General Exercise is a chair-based fitness class with supported standing strength training and balance. We use a play ball, weights and resistance band to work on functional movement patterns. Enjoy moving to music while doing easy-to-follow cardio, mobility, strengthening and stretching exercises.

We’ve been learning about food groups and how important it is to have a balanced diet. In May, we will be putting it all together to make our own personal diet prescription.

Zumba Gold (Council on Aging)
