The 2019 Summer Jobs Program Application Period Has Ended


The Mayor's Summer Jobs Program provides opportunities for City youths to work within the community during the summer months in both the public and private sectors.

Requirements

All applicants must be:

Residents of Somerville

Enrolled in high school

At least 16 years of age (limited opportunities are available for youth that are at least 14 years of age at the Department of Recreation)

How to Apply

Applications will be available In the Personnel Department and on this page (below) beginning April 1, 2019, and must be returned to the Personnel Department by 4:30 p.m. on April 30, 2019. Applications will not be accepted after April 30, 2019.

Interviews will take place May 13  through May 17, 2019 at Somerville High School. The orientation date will be announced at a later time. The Mayor's Summer Jobs Program provides opportunities for City youths to work within the community during the summer months in both the public and private sectors.

Work Schedule

Program hours vary by employer, but a typical commitment would be 20 hours per week.
