Mayor's Summer Jobs Program
The Mayor's Summer Jobs Program provides opportunities for City youths to work within the community during the summer months in both the public and private sectors.
All applicants must be:
- Residents of Somerville
- Enrolled in high school
- At least 16 years of age (limited opportunities are available for youth that are at least 15 years of age at the Department of Recreation)
How to Apply
Applications will be available In the Personnel Department beginning April 2, 2018, and must be returned to the Personnel Department by 12:30 p.m. on April 20, 2018. Applications will not be accepted after April 20, 2018.
Interviews will take place April 30 through May 4, 2018 at Somerville High School. The orientation date will be announced at a later time.The Mayor's Summer Jobs Program provides opportunities for City youths to work within the community during the summer months in both the public and private sectors.
Program hours vary by employer, but a typical commitment would be 20 hours per week.
