Street Sweeping in Somerville
About the Program
Somerville's street cleaning program is an essential public works activity that not only keeps our city looking cleaner, but reduces the risk of flooding and icing due to clogged storm drains.
Signs indicate time and date of no parking due to sweeping. A reccurring pattern was chosen in order to allow residents to plan ahead (example: 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, etc). The street sweeping season runs from April 1st - December 31st each year.

Use the Somerville Waste Wizard below to find out when your street is being swept. You can also sign up to receive complimentary notifications, but remember that this is a courtesy service that may experience technical problems; it's your responsibility to follow the posted signs and move your vehicle on time!
