Yoga with Louise (Council on Aging)

Yoga is a joyful practice that connects the body, mind, and spirit. This is a chair-based class with the option to work on supported standing balance.

Veteran's Group (Council on Aging)

The group will meet monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month; all Veterans are welcome! 

This group allows veterans to connect with their peers, discuss personal challenges and provide support. All Veterans are welcome. Coffee & refreshments will be served.

General Exercise - Holland Street (Council on Aging)

Add some movement to your day! General Exercise is a chair-based fitness class with supported standing strength training and balance. We’ll use a variety of props such as a play ball, resistance band, and weights to practice functional movement patterns. Enjoy moving to music while doing easy-to follow cardio, mobility, strengthening and stretching exercises.

Zumba Gold (Council on Aging)

Zumba Gold® uses Latin and international rhythms and is a lower intensity version of Zumba® for active older adults. It uses easy-to follow moves that focus on balance, range of motion, and coordination. The class is designed to develop cardiovascular endurance, muscular conditioning and flexibility while helping relieve arthritic pain.

MBTA Accessibility Training & Senior Charlie Card Applications (Council on Aging)

Izzy Phoenix from the MBTA Mobility Center is coming to the Somerville Council on Aging to cover the following: 

System navigation and accessibility features.

How to ask for help in transit.

How to apply for The RIDE paratransit and Travel Training.

Join us Wednesday, Sept. 23rd (6-10pm) for an eco-music festival at Bow Market celebrating sustainability, music, food, and community!

2026 Neighborhood Connect Meeting - Ward 4

Community members are invited to join Mayor Jake Wilson, the City Council, and School Committee during the 2026 ‘Neighborhood Connect’ meeting series. Formerly known as City Hall Community Meetings, Neighborhood Connect will take place in each of Somerville’s seven wards.

Walking Club (Council on Aging)

Connect with friends new and old while spending time out in nature. This group walks at a moderate pace and is a great way to add movement to your day. Explore nature trails and the streets of Somerville for an enjoyable journey.
