About the City Hall Community Meetings
The City Hall Community Meetings, formerly known as the ResiStat program, is Somerville's effort to bring City-related discussions and decision-making to residents. It strives to promote civic engagement with online tools – including a weekly email newsletter and regular community meetings in a hybrid format.
Interpretation into Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Kreyol, Nepali, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other languages may be available upon advance request by contacting the SomerViva Office of Immigrant Affairs at somerviva@somervillema.gov or calling 311 at 617-666-3311. Interpretation availability is also being advertised in the languages mentioned.
Beyond the community meetings, the City’s weekly email newsletter informs residents about important news, events, and information. We encourage residents to sign up for the newsletter below.

More About the City Hall Community Meetings
The goal of the City Hall Community Meetings is to connect residents from all backgrounds to City Hall by delivering valuable information straight from the source. They provide residents a platform to give feedback on city services and empower them with opportunities to get involved. Community meetings take place in the spring and fall of every year, at each of Somerville’s seven wards. At these meetings, residents meet the mayor, their local councilors, and key City officials, such as police district commanders. Residents receive ward-specific information, City-wide progress updates, and learn about how to get involved in decision-making in Somerville. This often includes department presentations, words from the Mayor, and other relevant information. For those joining in person, each meeting begins with informal meet-and-greets and refreshments. You can find out which ward and precinct you live in with the MySomerville address lookup tool.
