About influenza (flu) vaccines: "Flu shots” protect against the four influenza viruses researchers believe will be most common during the upcoming season. About COVID-19 vaccines: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to avoid potentially serious illnesses this fall and winter. Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna will soon release updated COVID-19 vaccines, as the virus is always changing, and protection from COVID-19 vaccines declines over time.

Free Vaccinations

Somerville’s Public Health Nursing Dept. offers vaccines at no cost, regardless of health insurance or immigration status.

Other Ways To Get Vaccinated

In addition to the upcoming City of Somerville vaccination clinics above, you can get your vaccinations from local pharmacies or your doctor. Note, these options will likely include a fee, based on your health insurance.
