Food Waste Collection Pilot Program

  • The city's food waste collection pilot program will provide curbside food waste collection to a pilot neighborhood in Somerville. In partnership with Garbage to Garden, the City of Somerville will provide weekly curbside food waste collection to up to 1,200 eligible households through mid-2027.

Large Appliance/White Goods Pickup

  • Large appliances require a $25 White Goods Sticker that can be purchased online, at the DPW (by check or money order), or at City Hall (by check, credit card, or money order). When placing your white goods, curbside, be sure not to block pedestrian traffic.
