2025 Calendar for Municipal Elections

Below, please find key dates for the upcoming (November 4, 2025) election as well as contact information for the Elections office and links to important documents to help you get ready to vote. 

Last day for filing Recount Petitions by 5 P.M. Monday, September 22, 2025
Voter registration deadline for the general Election by mail or in person by 5 P.M., or online until midnight. Friday October 24, 2025
Campaign Finance Report deadline for the City Election By 5 P.M. Monday October 27, 2025
Election Department will be removing Municipal Election mail-in and in-person early voted ballots for all precincts from their envelopes and depositing these ballots into a tabulator at City Hall to be tabulated on Election Night.
Note: This is a public process.
Monday October 27th (if necessary) thru Monday November 3rd
Deadline to submit applications for an Early voting by mail or Absentee Ballot: Applications must be received by 5 p.m. (a postmark alone is not sufficient; it must arrive at the Elections Office by the deadline). Tuesday, October 28, 2025

Noon deadline to vote in person as an absentee voter for voters who qualify legally (MGL 54:89 & 54:86) Monday, November 3, 2025
MUNICIPAL ELECTION 7 A.M. - 8 P.M. (hours for all all 32 Polling locations) Tuesday, November 4, 2025
Last day for filing Recount Petitions by 5 P.M. Friday, November 14, 2025
Year End Campaign Finance Report deadline by 5 P.M. Monday January 19, 2026
