Winter Storm Update: Please note that the Flatiron homeownership application deadline has been extended to Tuesday, Jan. 9th at 10 a.m.

Application Deadline: Friday, January 5th at 10 AM
Completed applications with supporting documents must be received by the Housing Division before the deadline.
The application is not complete without the following two documents or three if you live or work full time in Somerville:
1. A copy of a valid first time homebuyer’s certificate or verification of enrollment in a first time homebuyers course which will end before closing expected to be Spring 2018.
2. A valid mortgage pre-approval letter with for a 30 year fixed mortgage which includes an interest rate/interest rate range without any conditions and sufficient to cover the sales price amount for the unit which you are applying for.
3. If applicable, current (dated within the last 30 days) verification of living or working in Somerville full-time (32 hrs. or more). Acceptable forms of verification include; a utility bill, cell phone bill, cable bill, voter registration letter, credit card statement, bank statement, paystub or a letter from an employer stating the applicant currently works in Somerville 32 hrs. or more.

Lottery for two income-restricted units at The Flatiron
Date: Friday, January 19th 2018
Time: 10 -11:30 AM
Location: Aldermanic Chambers on the 2nd Fl. of City Hall located at 93 Highland Ave. Somerville, MA 02143.
Attendance is not necessary, once the lottery is completed you will be notified of your standing via email. You will also be able to view the lottery after it is over here: https://www.youtube.com/user/SomervilleCityTV
