The Somerville Arts Council and the Somerville Media Center announce the third annual Cinema Somerville Outdoor Film Festsival, set for Saturday, May 19, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. This outdoor film fest in Union Square Plaza will feature short films about Somerville’s diverse voices. In the event of inclement weather, the film festival will be held inside Somerville Media Center at 90 Union Square Plaza.

The 2018 festival theme is “Voices,” celebrating local community voices of all types. These include voices of creativity, voices of change, voices of struggle, voices of happiness, voices of empowerment, voices of hopes and dreams, giving voice to the voiceless, etc. The screen time will total 90 minutes and start promptly at 8:30 p.m.
