LOCATION

Join the City of Somerville, Groundwork Somerville, and Comcast Cares for the annual Spring Cleanup, Sat., May 4, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. All participants are invited to meet at the Blessing of the Bay Boat House on Shore Drive, at 9 a.m. for breakfast and coffee before setting out to your ward clean-up.

Residents are invited to join Ward Captains and City officials in each of the City’s seven wards to help prepare the city for the spring and summer by planting flowers, weeding open spaces, and otherwise cleaning our community following the long winter months. All participants are invited to a community breakfast at the Blessing of the Bay Boathouse on Shore Drive immediately before the clean-up from 9am – 10am. There will be a short speaking program from elected officials, Comcast, and Groundwork staff, as well as tabling and interactive activities from local environmental organizations.

The event is part of SustainaVille Week, to learn more about the weeks programming go to: https://www.somervillema.gov/sustainaville

If you’d like to register ahead of time go to: https://goo.gl/forms/9qUH3FmhImlDLtbg2

Pre-registration is NOT required, however, if you have a group larger than 5 people coming together it is very helpful to let us know you are coming so we can make sure we have enough supplies for your team.
