Have ideas for how the $2 million FY21 CPA funds for affordable housing, historic resources, and open space should be spent in the coming year? Join us for the annual Community Preservation Plan hearing!

The CPC is holding its annual Community Preservation Plan public hearing on Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. The hearing will be held virtually on the GoToMeeting platform in compliance with Governor Baker’s emergency orders regarding the Open Meeting Law during the COVID-19 crisis. The Community Preservation Plan establishes the annual funding priorities and allocations for the three categories that CPA funds can support. The draft plan is available at www.somervillema.gov/cpa. Interested persons may tell us how you think funds should be spent by providing comments to the CPC at the hearing or taking the CPC survey at www.somervillema.gov/cpa.

Join at 6:30 p.m. to learn about the Pre-Application Process

Individuals and organizations interested in applying for CPA funds are invited to attend a workshop at 6:30 p.m. prior to the hearing, also on the same platform, to learn about the CPA application process. The workshop will cover the process for applying for CPA funds for a project on City land, restrictions for open space and historic resources projects, and the program to support feasibility studies for some proposed projects.
