Join us for concert at Groundwork Somerville's South Street Farm on Thursday, August 4th. The fun starts at 5 PM! Come check out RnB grooves from singer Leah Parrett, tantalizing flow from rappers Sur5ill and D Staley, games, food, and more! Free general admission. All ages are welcome. Donations are highly encouraged to support further programming. Learn more: https://groundworksomerville.org/event/aug4/ About the performers: Leah Parrett: Leah Parrett is a singer from Brockton, MA who is currently attending Berklee College of Music and studying songwriting. Leah performs both original songs and covers spanning genres from R&B to Neo-Soul. D Staley: D Staley is a 27-year old rapper based out of New Bedford, MA. Life is a trip and I’m here for the ride. Shout out good music! Sur5ILL: Since 2015 Stephond Goler, who performs under the pseudonym Sur5ILL (pronounced survival), has produced a dozen events in and around Boston from indoor variety shows at commercial spaces to outdoor music festivals. A former Somerville resident of six years, he also volunteered regularly to operationalize programming for the Somerville Arts Council. Musically, Sur5ILL produces prolific amounts of often witty, satirical Hip Hop brimming with biting social commentary, smooth beats and unique flair. His 2020 release, Exception 2, is available to stream or download via all distributed outlets.
