LOCATION

The City of Somerville’s Mid-Term Ceremonies and Addresses by Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, the incoming City Council President, and the incoming Chairperson of the Somerville School Committee will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 93 Highland Ave. All are invited. Organizational meetings of the City Council and School Committee will take place immediately before the Mid-Term Addresses. 

During her Mayoral Mid-Term State of the City Address, Mayor Ballantyne will reflect on her first year in office, events, and initiatives impacting the community this past year, and will also share plans for the coming year. The incoming Council President and School Committee Chair will similarly reflect on 2022 issues and efforts as well as work to come. 

Somerville community members are encouraged to join the Mid-Term Ceremonies and Addresses either in person at City Hall or by watching live or on-demand later at home. The speeches will be live streamed on the City’s cable and educational access television stations, as well as online at somervillema.gov, and posted to CityTV’s YouTube Channel the next day at youtube.com/SomervilleCityTV .
